This year I signed up to volunteer in my daughter’s 5th grade classroom for the fall school party AKA Halloween party. It was hard to find fun games for older kids that were not crazy and that would work for school. I decided to create some Halloween minute to win it games for the school party and explain them to you!
Halloween School Party Minute to Win it Games
I wanted these games to be affordable and easy for almost anyone to recreate. The Dollar Tree store had all the supplies I needed and I spent under $10. The 4 Halloween Minute to Win it games are described below. You will also see the free printable you can download towards the end.
1. Jumping Bats or Jumping Spiders: Halloween Minute to Win it Games
Give children 1 paper cup, 6 bat rings (or spider rings), and 2 craft sticks. Explain they have 1 minute to transfer the 6 rings using only the craft sticks into the paper cup.
2. Eyeball Bounce: Halloween Minute to Win it Games
Give children 2 eyeball ping pong balls and a cup. Explain they have 1 minute to bounce the eyeballs into the cup. Both eyeballs need to be there at the same time. If the cup falls over, they need to start again.
3. Cup Stack: Halloween Minute to Win it Games
Give children 6 paper cups to stack together. Explain they have 1 minute to stack the cups into a tower of 6 with 3 on the bottom, 2 in the middle, and 1 on the top. They can only do this with ONE HAND because this is what makes it trickier. 🙂 The tower needs to be built and taken down into a stack of 6 three times.
4. Zap It: Halloween Minute to Win it Games
Give each child 4 paper strips, a box of 8 stickers, 1 rubber band, and 4 paper cups. Explain they have 1 minute to peel off the 8 stickers and put them on their paper strips. They need to fold the paper strips in half and while one at a time put it on their rubber band “zapper”. They need to zap the 4 cups to knock them over the edge of the desk or on their side.
